Every day is a struggle, but also every day is a new mercy that the Lord gives us. Life goes by, we perceive that our surroundings change, the situations of the people around us improve, we notice and rejoice to know that they prosper and how God fulfills each of their requests.
On the other hand, we are submerged in nothingness, the same problems of all our lives, we see how our dreams are moving away, it becomes more and more difficult to achieve them, we insinuate that everything is conspiring against us. When we believe that we have passed the worst tragedy, another one arrives that is even more terrible than the previous one, when we believe that we have already seen everything in this life, and that nothing worse can happen to us; it turns out that we do not feel like falling, we feel faint in the middle of nowhere, with our hands tied, unable to solve any of our problems, we do not find a door and much less a light that guides us to the exit.
But behind so many bad things, there are thousands of blessings, and the first thing we must do in those difficult moments, in which we realize that we have nothing, and that is where we must recognize that we need the help of God and no one else. He is the only one who can give us that peace in the midst of any situation and in turn resolve it.
The second thing is to humble ourselves and surrender to God from the heart, to give ourselves to him, we even think that we can give to God, if we have nothing, not even our life because it has become a disaster, our heart much less because it is destroyed and our hands are totally empty. Therefore we do not take into account that God is an expert in making spectacular things out of nothing, and that being in this situation makes us the first candidates and the most likely to be used by our heavenly Father.
He gives grace to the humble, therefore we go through these situations either because of our bad decisions or because God wants to get us out of comfort, stagnation, because it is time to wake up and wants to call our attention, because he has better things than the world can offer us.
We do not lose anything by trusting God, on the contrary we gain a lot, it is better to go through our struggles accompanied by Him, than being alone without anyone to dry our tears, maybe you are no longer encouraged to hear the same words of encouragement that others tell you, but there is something that if you must believe and that is what his word says. If God tells you that He will bless us, we must believe it, if He promised us freedom, healing, restoration, we must believe, we have on our side the God of the impossible, the God who can do anything, the God who acts in a supernatural way, Who takes us by our right hand and tells us, do not be afraid, I will help you.
Who shall we fear? if our Father is the God who saved Noah and his descendants in an ark; if our Father is the same God who called Moses to liberate the people of Israel and opened the sea for them to cross; if our Father is the God of Joshua, who made him a brave man; the God who saved Daniel from the lions' den. Great and awesome God, strong and tender God, Jehovah of hosts who goes before us fighting our battles, of course if we allow him to do so.
Shake yourself and trust in God, "Blessed is the man who trusts in you" Psalms 84:12 (Reina-Valera 1960), wait on God, cry out to Him and He will answer you. Love him with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your soul, give all for him. It is worthwhile to trust, it is worthwhile to wait, it is the best thing you can do.
If you feel burdened, troubled, anguished, sad, take a moment alone, and weep, unburden yourself, adore him, praise him, speak to him. The important thing is that you seek him and never again be separated from God.
For I took you from the ends of the earth, and called you from a far country, and said to you, "You are my servant; I have chosen you and will not cast you off. Fear not, for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God that strengtheneth thee: I will help thee continually, I will uphold thee continually with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all who are angry with you shall be put to shame and confounded; they shall be as nothing, and those who contend with you shall perish. Thou shalt seek them that contend with thee, and shalt not find them: they shall be as nothing, and as a thing that is not, they that contend with thee. For I the LORD am your God, who upholds you by your right hand, and says to you, "Fear not, I will help you.
Isaiah 41:9-13 (Reina-Valera 1960).
